Zhangjiajie Travel Diary: A Four-day Tour of the Avatar Mountains in China
I had a great time traveling from Thailand to Zhangjiajie. Many scenic spots in Zhangjiajie will offer discounted ticket prices in 2025. To develop the tourism industry, Zhangjiajie has issued many preferential policies for foreign tourists. Therefore, it is particularly cost-effective to travel to Zhangjiajie this year! I'd like to share my itinerary. If you read this carefully, you can save 50% on the price!

1. Cost Guide
• My friend and I are a total of five people. We didn't consider a travel agency and wanted to travel independently. We planned to spend four days.
• After looking up many travel guides, we found that it would cost 210,000 Thai ringgit in total.
• My friend recommended a travel planner named Kai to help us plan the itinerary. We booked hotels, scenic spot tickets and air tickets at all discounted prices. A total of 10,000 Thai ringgit was saved!
• Kai is a local tour guide in Zhangjiajie. He was very patient and accompanied us on our trip. "Recommended!"

2. Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Initial Exploration
• We arrived at Zhangjiajie Airport at noon on the 4th. Kai was waiting for us at the airport very early, which made us feel very safe.
• Accommodation: Stay beside the Tianmen Mountain Cableway in the city center (no need to get up early the next day, very convenient).
• Activity: Visited the Seventy-Two Wonders Tower (quite spectacular).
Day 2: Tianmen Mountain Tour
• Climbing difficulty: Relatively low (suitable for the elderly and children).
• Recommended Route 1:
a. Take the cable car to the halfway up the mountain.
b. Climb 999 steps (beautiful scenery along the way).
c. Most of the remaining climb up the mountain is by elevator (experience true cyber mountain climbing).
• Highly recommended: Forest sightseeing cable car (open-air, passes through several mountain peaks, offers a panoramic view of Tianmen Mountain).
• Return: Take the cable car directly from the top of the mountain to the city center (half an hour, passes by the railway station and the city, very convenient).
Day 3: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
• Note: The park is very large (takes three or four days to fully explore; one ticket allows four entries).
• Transportation: Buses in the scenic area take you to various scenic spots.
• Interesting spot: Many little monkeys on the way.
Day 4: City Stroll
• Recommendation: Visit Kozawa Teppanyaki (highly recommended by locals, grilled over charcoal at the bottom, unique flavor).
3. Experience with Guide Kai
• I have been communicating with Kai for half a month. His attitude is very good.
• We talked a lot and found that the local tour guide's plan is better than our travel guide! A lot of money and time have been saved.
• When visiting Zhangjiajie, people often ask him for help with planning and booking (saves money and effort, can have a great time and make friends).
4. Personal Suggestion
• No need to spend energy studying travel guides and experiences (many are plagiarized).
• Recommendation: Directly ask a familiar local tour guide for a free guide (saves money and energy every time I travel).
• Personal feeling: High cost performance, great deal; we had a very free and enjoyable time.
• Gratitude: Extremely grateful to Kai, the tour guide, for planning the itinerary throughout; my friend and I had a great time! So I want to give Kai a little advertisement.
