Day 1: Warm welcome to Beijing - Private transfer & Beijing paper-cutting gift
After landing in Beijing, our driver waited for us with a nameplate and transferred us directly to the hotel. We rested to beat jet lag and received a thoughtful intangible cultural heritage paper-cut gift from our guide. No scenic spots were scheduled on this day for us to recharge ourselves. The trip was relaxing. The pickup was punctual with thoughtful service, and the paper-cut gift featured authentic Chinese characteristics.
·Paper-cutting is a folk intangible handicraft with thousands of years of history in China.
·Confirm your hotel location in advance and keep your phone accessible after arrival for driver contact.

Day 2: Into the heart of Imperial China: Forbidden City - Temple of Heaven & Royal Heritage
In the morning we visited the Forbidden City and wandered through the imperial palace complex, listening to our English-speaking driver-guide tell stories of Ming and Qing emperors. We had halal lunch at a certified halal restaurant at noon. In the afternoon we toured the Temple of Heaven and admired the ancient imperial sacrificial buildings. We immersed ourselves in these historic landmarks with plenty of walking time to admire architectural details. Our guide gave vivid explanations, pre-booked tickets saved us from long queues, and the halal lunch tasted authentic.
·The Forbidden City served as the residence and administrative centre for emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties. The Temple of Heaven was where ancient emperors held ceremonies to pray to heaven for good harvests.

Day 3: The Forbidden City served as the residence and administrative centre for emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties. The Temple of Heaven was where ancient emperors held ceremonies to pray to heaven for good harvests.
We headed to Mutianyu Great Wall in the morning to climb and admire the magnificent wall winding among mountains. In the afternoon we visited Niujie Mosque to learn about Chinese Islamic culture and strolled around Niujie neighbourhood to experience the local Muslim community. We hiked outdoors in the morning and visited the sacred religious site quietly in the afternoon with a well-balanced pace. Mutianyu has relatively fewer crowds, and Niujie Mosque is peaceful and solemn, letting us fully experience cultural integration.
·Mutianyu is a well-preserved section of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty. Niujie Mosque was first built in 996 AD. It is Beijing’s oldest existing mosque combining Chinese architectural style with Islamic features.
·Dress modestly, keep quiet and follow all visiting rules when touring the mosque. It is windy on the Great Wall, so bring a jacket.

Day 4: A farewell with China's beloved giant pandas - Beijing Zoo - Airport transfer
In the morning we visited Beijing Zoo to see giant pandas and various rare animals. After the visit, our private car transferred us directly to the airport to wrap up our Beijing trip. The schedule was light and relaxing for the final day of travel. We enjoyed watching animals at a slow pace. We got close views of lovely giant pandas, and the airport transfer was scheduled with plenty of buffer time so we did not worry about missing our flight.
·Beijing Zoo is China’s first modern public zoo. Giant pandas are China’s national treasure.
·Giant pandas are more active in the morning. Leave ample time for the airport transfer to avoid morning and evening traffic rush hours.
